We also extended our hand to revitalize Savitri Memorial Day School, a cornerstone of education for over 30 years. With significant challenges such as poor infrastructure, insufficient benches and a broken roof, we helped turn around these dilapidated conditions for the 100+ underprivileged children who studied there. In collaboration with Team HUM, we ensured pristine walls and floors, improved lighting, and facilities such as a computer and a library – each contributing to a supportive learning environment for generations to come.

Our work began with Ankur Shiksha Sadan, transforming the school and realizing its vision of serving the unprivileged students from the Duttabad slums. The school was in dire need of renovation, with a broken roof, damaged benches and walls and more – painting the picture of an unsuitable environment for learning. Collaborating with Team Hum, it took roughly 2 months to transform the school, replete with the necessary facilities to make it conducive as an institution of learning.

In line with this same vision, we led the transformation at Paanch Darshya Vidyalaya in collaboration with Team HUM. Once a desolate space lacking basic amenities with broken walls and dirty walls, it now stands as a beacon of learning and inspiration. With countless hours and unparalleled effort as well as new facilities and education materials, the school now carries the promise of a brighter tomorrow for each of its students.

However, learning does not necessarily take place in school. Libraries have always been a centre for education and development with priceless knowledge inscribed on every page. We collaborated with Team HUM to establish a library named ‘Humari Library’ opposite Apollo Hospital EM Bypass. This is open to everyone and fully stocked with all types of books to make knowledge accessible to all.
